Whole School Curriculum Overview

The 'Park Academy Curriculum Overview' details our purposefully constructed curriculum which provides a clear progression model linked to expectations set out in the National Curriculum.

Across the whole curriculum, key knowledge, subject-specific skills and core concepts have been carefully selected to help build a coherent sequence of learning. Throughout their purposefully constructed learning journey, learners are provided with opportunities to both revisit prior learning and connect new learning whilst harnessing the power of enquiry through exploring thought-provoking questions which progress towards clearly defined end points. 

Whilst also providing an overview of our knowledge-rich curriculum, the document details how vibrant, high-quality, age-appropriate texts are used as driving forces to impart curriculum knowledge and promote questioning. These texts are carefully selected to engage, inspire and deepen understanding across our curriculum.
