Curriculum
We have designed our curriculum at Park Academy to meet all of the national requirements of the Foundation Stage Curriculum and National Curriculum and fundamentally, the needs of our pupils.
From the moment pupils enter their Foundation stage, we work to support them with the key skills they need in order to succeed: Communication and Language, Physical Development, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding of the World, Expressive Arts and Design. We do this with a focus on quality, first hand experiences and our prioritisation of early reading and oracy.
In Key Stages One and Two, we offer an enriched curriculum based on the National Curriculum requirements and teach the skills to equip learners for life, work and their social responsibility as future adults.
In order to do this, we use enquiry questions to help connect learning across subject areas, promoting the curriculum in stimulating and exciting ways! Staff work tirelessly to plan and deliver exceptional learning opportunities that are suitably adapted to meet the needs of every individual.
Our children’s learning experiences extend beyond the school day and extensive enrichment opportunities such as after-school clubs, trips and visitors (including a residential visit) are organised to help foster a lifelong love of learning.
At Park Academy, we are privileged to serve a diverse community which celebrates differences. Through our teaching, we aim for all pupils to make good progress and achieve their very best.
